Terms of service
Last updated 2 August 2026 · Applies to Ledgerious, operated by Ledgerious, Baghdad, Iraq.
The short version
You keep your family's books in Ledgerious. The records are yours, you can export them at any time, and we will not delete them because you stopped paying. You pay $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year after a free trial of 30 days. The assistant is a tool for reading and drafting, not a licensed adviser, and it never changes anything without your confirmation. Everything below is that, in more detail.
Who this agreement is with
Ledgerious is operated from Baghdad, Iraq ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you ("you") agree to these terms. If you are setting up a family on behalf of a household, you confirm you are entitled to do so.
Your account
An account is identified by a mobile number and protected by a six-digit PIN you choose, confirmed by a code we send over WhatsApp. You are responsible for keeping that PIN to yourself and for the actions taken by anyone you give access to.
A family admin can create sign-ins for family members. Those members get a restricted, read-only view scoped to their own money. If you create a login for someone, you are confirming they consent to having an account, and you remain responsible for what is recorded about them.
You must be at least 18 to hold an admin account.
What you may not do
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to record or launder proceeds of crime.
- Attempt to reach another family's data, probe or overload the infrastructure, or work around the access limits built into the product.
- Resell or rebrand the service, or use automated means to extract data at scale beyond your own export.
- Upload malicious files, or content you have no right to store.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
The assistant, and what it is not
Ledgerious includes an AI assistant that reads your books and answers questions about them, and can draft entries for you to approve. Two things about it matter legally.
It is not a licensed adviser. It is not a financial, investment, accounting, tax or legal professional and does not provide regulated advice. Its answers are generated from your records by software and can be wrong or incomplete. Decisions about your money are yours, and where a decision matters you should take professional advice.
You confirm every change. The assistant cannot write to your books on its own. It prepares a proposed entry and shows you what will change; the entry is recorded only when you confirm it. Once you confirm, the entry is yours — please read what you are approving.
Your records are yours
You keep all rights in the data you put into Ledgerious — your entries, names, receipts and documents. We store and process it to run the service for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. What we do with it is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.
You can export your complete records at any time from within the app, in every subscription state including a locked one.
Trial, prices and payment
A new family gets 30 days free. No card is required and the trial does not convert into a paid subscription by itself — nothing is charged unless you choose to pay.
After the trial the service costs $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year, per family, regardless of how many members use it. Payment is arranged directly with us — bank transfer, wallet or cash — and we extend your subscription when the payment is confirmed. Prices are stated in US dollars; payments in Iraqi dinars are converted at the rate agreed at the time.
Paying while your subscription is still running extends it from its current end date, so you never lose days you already paid for.
If a payment does not arrive
Nothing is deleted and nothing happens suddenly. The sequence is fixed and it is the same for everyone:
- 7 days past the due date — everything keeps working exactly as before. You will see a reminder.
- The following 30 days — the books become read-only. You can open, search, report on and export everything; you cannot add new entries.
- After that — the account is locked. Only the renewal page and your full data export remain reachable.
Your records are retained throughout. Paying at any point restores full access immediately. We will not delete a family's books because a subscription lapsed; if we ever intend to remove dormant data we will give you at least 30 days' notice by WhatsApp to the number on the account.
Refunds
If you cancel a yearly subscription within 14 days of paying, and you have not used the service materially in that period, tell us and we will refund it. Beyond that we do not refund the unused part of a term, because the trial exists precisely so you can decide before paying. If the service is unavailable for a long or repeated period through our fault, contact us — we will put it right, in credit or in money.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Ledgerious at any time; export your data first, and ask us to delete your family if you want it removed. We may end the agreement on 30 days' notice, or immediately if an account is being used for something unlawful or is damaging the service for others — in which case we will still make your export available for at least 30 days unless the law requires otherwise.
Availability
We work to keep Ledgerious running and we take backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, infrastructure failures, network problems in Iraq and events outside our control can all interrupt it. The service is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law requires.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits or opportunities, or for decisions you took on the basis of what the app or its assistant told you. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Two things this does not limit: liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and our responsibility to handle your personal data as described in the privacy policy.
Ledgerious keeps records; it does not file your taxes, satisfy a statutory accounting obligation, or replace an accountant where you are required to have one.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you in the app or by WhatsApp before it takes effect, and the date above will change. Continued use after that means the current version applies. If we change the price, the new price applies from your next renewal, never mid-term.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Iraq. If something goes wrong, start with a conversation — reach us from inside the app. If a conversation is not enough, the courts of Baghdad have jurisdiction.
